Welcome to Urbandogz Pet Dog Training

Established in February 2004, Urbandogz offers dog owners the opportunity to learn how to teach their pets the things they really need to know. Urbandogz trainers are accredited through the Delta Society of Australia and have, or are working towards, a Certificate IV in behavioural training. They have, collectively, more than 30 years experience in helping people to manage and train their dogs.

Urbandogz uses only reward based training methods, recognising that aversive (punishment) methods do not teach desirable behaviours and lead to a poor human-canine relationship. Setting people and dogs up to succeed, by using best practice and up to date, evidence-based training techniques, is a key factor of our training workshops. Our workshops are designed to provide you with the understanding and skills to build an effective relationship with your dog and to teach it behaviours that are essential in today's society.

We can arrange for you to have one-on-one training and in-home consultations for those dogs which need that extra attention to modify behaviour or to build confidence. Not all of our dogs are suitable for group activities.

We believe that it is important to have fun with your pets and to set achievable goals for both ends of the leash.
